WaveCatcher Privacy Policy
The short version: WaveCatcher has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. Your health and workout data stays on your devices and in Apple Health. We never see it, and we never sell or share it.
This policy explains how WaveCatcher for iPhone and Apple Watch ("the App"), made by Powers Tech Solutions ("we", "us"), handles your information.
Information the App uses
Health data. With your permission, the Apple Watch app reads your heart rate from Apple Health during a paddle session so it can show it to you and keep the workout running. When a session ends, it saves the session to Apple Health as a workout. You can decline either permission; the App will still run, with reduced functionality.
Session history. Details of your completed sessions (duration, heart rate trace, cadence, and the workout plan you followed) are stored locally on your iPhone so you can review them later. Your Apple Watch sends this data to your iPhone directly using Apple's Watch Connectivity; it does not pass through any server of ours.
Purchases. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The App checks your subscription status on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework.
Unlock codes. If you redeem a code that came with a paddle trainer, the code is validated on your device and a flag is stored locally to remember that you have full access. The code is not sent to us.
What we do not do
- We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics.
- We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not require or create user accounts.
- We do not transmit your health, workout, or personal data to any server.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
Health data and Apple's rules
Data obtained from Apple Health is used only to provide the App's paddle-training features. It is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and is never disclosed to third parties, consistent with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
Your choices
- Health access: change or revoke permissions at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps & Services → WaveCatcher.
- Session history: delete any session from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored sessions.
- Workouts in Apple Health: these remain in the Health app under your control and can be deleted there.
- Subscription: manage or cancel at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, no such data is held by us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
